Battle Terrains

Years ago I played Masters of the Amulets™. Adventuring in a secret, dangerous valley with lots of different terrains and mad enemies, trying to stay alive. As suggested in the adventure I made my tactical maps for the combats. They were in Melee™ format. I've upgraded them to larger Wizard™ map format. They are the first, other will follow (Marsh, Forest, Bridge, etc…).
Good play and Happy New Year!

Ciao
Dario ;-)

Panthera Umbra
ST:20 MA:14
DX:12 Armour:1 pt hide

These blue-black, 2-hex, 6 legged panthers attack twice with their tentacles for 2 dice each. The males are always blurred (-4 to hit except bugs, troglodytes, slimes and those using mage sight). The Females
have a natural Image Spell ability on them (no costs).

«It is a Scorpio!
It has a tail?
It has bolts!»

Well… Death Test2/Game Aids, all the Rooms and Enemies.
I make everything, but the random merchenaries (use the ones in DT1, or cardboards from the official Cardboards Heroes - God bless them-).
Happy cutting 'n gaming.

Temple of the Ancients

It was in the 2013 when I met a webpage with this labyrinth. I produces a short-work map to play it with my players. They all died facing the Dark Beast (but this is another story).
I tryed to contact the author to give credits, today I have searched, but nothing appears on google…maybe too much years passed by.
The Temple is big. You can print it in A4 pages (look at the numbers on map for reference), or if you have access to a plotter printer it is better.
In play try to cover with black pages the zones not yet searched by the party, to avoid to give them a bird eye view of all the dungeon.
I have make two supplemental skeleton archers in the cardboards, for make things more interesting. If your group is thought, use them.

Good game ;-)

The Red Vipers

A bunch of cannon fodder for your evenings without a real DM plan for the players.
Those goblins are a bit more savage than the standard type. Enjoy ;-)

«Are you a Naturalist? Good, now we are lost, naturally…»

Here there are the Tunnels (coloured). Very useful, for quick fightings indoor (or to play Tollenkar Lair™). Again they are in a4 format. I have made a little random generator, but I am sure you can make better tables for them, and use the suggestion in the main rules of The Fantasy Trip: in the Labyrinth™ (pp 48/49/50 «Random Stockings»).
Note: Pretty difficult to cut. Try to be precise, or the hexes will not link very well together.

Monster of the Month

Manticore
Martichoras Ctesiae

ST:30 MA:10/16
DX:11-12 Armour:1 pt skin
IQ:5
These 2-hex monsters are stupid, aggressive lion-bodied, bat-winged humanoids with reddish skin and numerous rows of shark like, pointed teeth. Manticores are found in warmer climes, in desolate areas as they have often eaten or ruined everything nearby.
They attack with claw/bite for 2-1 damage or a volley of tail spikes, firing 6 a turn for up to 4 turns, inflicting 1+1 damage each (accuracy as per molotail).
Manticores are the result of a failed experiment long long ago, where a wizard attempted to mix a man (for intelligence), with a bat (for flight) and a lion and shark (both for ferocity; sharks are resistant to disease). Unfortunately, the resultant creature, the first manticore, also had the intelligence of a shark and was a hunting and killing machine, totally unable to be trained. Furthermore, it escaped and was able to breed with large felines (lions, tigers, sabretooths, pumas) and the offspring were always manticores. Manticores mature quickly and are long lived and resistant to most diseases. They are rapacious and always hungry and will hunt and eat anything organic. All manticores are considered to have alertness and some of the electromagnetic sensory equipment of their shark parents. They thus get an automatic 2/IQ roll for any illusion they come across, which is automatic and not counted as an action for a combat turn.

Notes:
I found, years ago, at the time of the TFT webring,  a fine TFT page full of stats for monsters,
Cas Liber's TFT Bestiary was oustanding and complete.

Cardboard at 200%. Let's print at 50%.
It should be a bit more larger than two hex, a very old and lethal specimen ;-)

What? Two Bears? Oh my…

For me  The Fantasy Trip™ begins with the Death Test™ 34 years ago, in the '84.
In all this eons we have killed dozen of bears, overrunned squadron of gargoyles and buried many adventurers, all in those maps I made to speed session-play in the Thortz labyrinth.
Now you can download them, revamped and ready to print (with all the warriors/monsters).
The rooms are in a4 format, for home printing (in this case, print the cardboards at 90%).
Or you can use a print service, in this case use the scale you need…
Good game, and stay alive ;-)
